He maintained that ancient methods were apt at solving difficult and complex problems. The text is based on the premise that rules of a mathematical order govern the universe. In Vedic Mathematics , students can expect to find 16 sutras which discuss strategies involved in mental calculation.

The text also includes forty chapters dealing with different aspects in mathematics, ranging from simple to complex difficulty levels. Vedic Mathematics is written in a lucid style, and has been widely used in schools. This text, based on the 16 Vedic Sutras, is intended to help students solve difficult equations. The book was first published in , five years after the death of the author.

The current 15th edition of Vedic Mathematics was published in by Motilal Banarsidass. Maharaj also authored Vedic Metaphysics and Vedic Ganit. The author had a brilliant mind. He always attained the highest standing in all his courses. When he completed his MA at the American College of Sciences in Rochester, New York, he scored the highest marks in seven of the subjects, setting the world record for that time.

However, since he always had inclination towards religious studies, he continued on a spiritual path which eventually earned him a Shankaracharya title.

This book has been profound in the lives of many people. That much is beyond question. However, it angers me to read such a ream of disrespectful and thoughtless reviews on here. This work, if it can be coupled with work ethic - goodness me! Actually putting some effort into applying something - WILL yield extraordinary results for you.

The language is not at all a problem. As a student of English Language and Literature and six other languages, including Latin, I know when something is writt Marcus Amadeus von Bergen Mar, This book offers a variety of methods to solve cumbrous multiplication, division, recurring decimals and a lot more. I feel proud to discover that ancient India was so well developed in science, especially in mathematics.

Abhirup Banerjee Certified Buyer Jan, I hate maths from my school days even after completion of my Degree. When i had to prepare for my Competitive exam i came across this books. What a Wonderful book!!! I love maths after buying this book. Maths is the easiest subject after reading this book. Bala Lakshmi Certified Buyer Feb, The Veedic Mathematics is very good.

I strongly recommend to all who want to learn math. The packing was not good at all. I suggest to flipkart to look into this matter seriously. The book was delivered by Ekart. The sraff of ekart was very good, polite and professional. I like the way he talk. God bless him.. Wish him a very bright future. This book is better than other books written on vedic mathematics as it contain several topics which other books does not have.

Most of the books written on vedic mathematics does not have the higher topics but his book has those topics too. Some topics like vinculum which are basic for studying vedic mathematics should be studied before hand as the writer uses it frequently but not had discussed the topic.

At some places the language is too difficult to understand. I would suggest to the Hi Helpful for students appearing for entrance exams at the same time for school students who are afraid of maths. The steps are simple and easy to understand. This will give students competitive advantage over others. Brilliant book but meant for long extended reading.

Not useful for competitive exams but for connoisseurs of mathematics and to appreciate our traditional knowledge of mathematics. I would deeply reccomend for small kids in standards 5 to 8th. Its very conceptual and would strike a deep impact.

Snehan Peshin Certified Buyer Jun, Again, Fast and Superior Service by Flipkart with nice packaging. The book is good and helpful for tricks, has most of the practices that a mathematician needs but lots of hard work and practice is needed. One cannot gain whole benefits of this without a single read Language is little bit harsh to Hinglish people but works. Good Luck!!! Sumit Dhiman Certified Buyer Feb, This is a great book on mental calculation.

The things that I like about the book are:- 1. The author's look at number as an algebraic expression. Great shorthand methods developed from the above view by the author, both easy to remember and effective. It makes you realise that even you could have derived those if you had given enough thought, the book is literally about some easy ways to solve particular type of problems.

What is very much bad about this book is that: 1. He clai Must buy for all. This is what we should be teaching kids, it's unfortunate that so few people know about this book. We all talk about ancient India's unimaginable progress in science and mathematics. This book is a prime sample of the ancient wisdom, brought to us in understandable terms with usage tricks. Buy this for your kids, or even for yourself, and fall in love with Maths, all over again. Specially recommended for competitive exams and school children.

Bharati Krishna Tirtha

He is said to have reconstructed the ancient system of Vedic Mathematics from certain Sanskrit texts which other scholars had dismissed as nonsense. The methods he showed and the simple Sutras on which it is based are extraordinarily simple and easy to apply, and the whole system possesses a unity not found in conventional mathematical methods. It can hardly be doubted that Bharati Krishna's remarkable discoveries in mathematics will in time change the teaching of and approach to mathematics worldwide: but this was not his main interest in life. His life was devoted to helping those individuals he could and also helping to bring about world peace and spiritual renewal.
