My First Thoughts: Lovely girl, non-traditional family and supernatural hunk of unknown origin blows into town to sweep lovely girl off her feet with his devastating smile and extreme charm and worldly knowledge of all things.
My Review: Lia Jameson, Cordelia actually, is a senior in high school. On the negative side, her grades are dropping but on the positive side her looks are improving bec My First Thoughts: Lovely girl, non-traditional family and supernatural hunk of unknown origin blows into town to sweep lovely girl off her feet with his devastating smile and extreme charm and worldly knowledge of all things.
Less time to sleep, more time to primp. When Chaseyn arrives as a new student to her high school all eyes are on him but he only has eyes for Lia. Lia is as taken with Chaseyn as he is with her. It seems that no matter where she goes, there he is. An age old family curse comes to light, danger seems to lurk around every corner, romance abounds and adventure keeps those pages turning.
There are also some really bad dudes waiting in the wings. My Summary: I truly enjoyed this book; the story itself is very different from those within the similar genre. The ending was just perfect enough to give me hope for a sequel.
Feb 25, Angel Charms rated it did not like it. I really really regret reading this awful book. Can I give this book negative stars? I wouldn't have wasted writing review for this book, but I have to warn people off. I thought MC in Fallen Angel was bad She is selfish, coward, fickle minded.. And the dark and mysterious hero comes off creepy atleast in the beginning. He was okay towards the end though. He I really really regret reading this awful book. He really cared for Lia the MC , but she inturn is really bad to him.
She keeps claiming to love him but not one gesture indicates it. She doesn't even care for him. She even states that he has no choice of liking another girl since he is bound to her while she has a choice and that he should be nervous about her choice. Bet this Eli guy ahm.. Jacob wannabe gets bitten by werewolf in the next book What kind of ending is that anyway? This book all in all was a very awful immitation of Twilight. Twilight fans I am a huge Twilight fan and I don't have enough words in English vocabulary to describe how much I hated this book.
Jan 30, Paula Griffith rated it it was ok. I wanted to read this because I was pleasantly surprised with Amanda Hockings books; however, this story seems a little disjointed. Lia is enamored with Chaseyn, and they become a couple.
Her mother accepts Chaseyn Grandma comes to visit and puts the evil eye on Chaseyn then tells Lia about a family curse thinking that Chaseyn has something to do with it. When Grandma leaves, she fakes an accident and gets Lia to come out to Amarillo for s I wanted to read this because I was pleasantly surprised with Amanda Hockings books; however, this story seems a little disjointed. When Grandma leaves, she fakes an accident and gets Lia to come out to Amarillo for spring break instead of spending time with her friends and Chaseyn.
This is where the story falls apart somewhat because the it loses believability when the Prince shows up to save the damsel in distress Jan 25, Kerri rated it it was ok. This book actually had a decent storyline. Unfortunately I found it slow in so many places. Truthfully I feel this book just needs a good editing. I read the ebook and the main female character Lia says the main male character's name in an early chapter and I was wondering how she knew his name.
Then in a later chapter Heather Hudak has Lia discover Chaseyn's name for the first time but really it was the second time- just an error but very distracting for the reader. I also feel the characters This book actually had a decent storyline.
I also feel the characters need more development. Dec 19, Milly rated it did not like it. I will never put a book down half way through, but I was incredibly tempted with this one!! View 1 comment. Mar 01, Cath rated it it was ok. I must admit, however, i didn't finish the book.
However, if you like Twilight hardcore Twi-fan! It is well written and the storyline flows quite well, the plot itself and characters in my opinion wrecked the book.
Which is a shame, because i think Heather C. Hudak is a promising Author. Let's start first with Chaseyn. What others will probably call mysterious, sweet and caring i found highly creepy.
Then there are some of the things he comes out with which i'm sure are meant to be sound sweet and caring but just gave me the chills I didn't enjoy the book. For me it felt like a bad Twilight knock off that was trying to make its self like Twilight without being obvious. There's loads more but the book honestly didn't hold my attention enough for me to actually be able to quote from it lol Then there's the speech.
The way the characters interact is too scripted and does not seem realistic. Nobody talks as they do! Maybe one day when i'm truly, unbelievably bored and desperate for a read without any money to buy one or wireless signal! Apr 15, Amanda rated it it was ok. This is like the poor man's version of Twilight.
Friday, December 16, 'Tis the Season!!! Hello my faithful fans, Thank you so much for sticking with me while I took a brief hiatus. Working full time, attending classes, and writing novels fills my plate to overflowing, and I just needed a wee bit of a break to sort out my thoughts for Life's Blood. Now that the New Year is fast approaching, I'm anxious to get back into the swing of things and put out the next book in The Cordelia Chronicles.
